One of the most universal worries is walking into a new place for the first time and not knowing anyone there. This ministry is designed to alleviate that feeling from our first time visitors and guests of Livingway.

The Parking Ministry gets to make the very first impression as our members and guests pull into our parking lots. But the Greeters are the first people to interact with them once they come inside our doors. It is our goal to put each person at immediate ease and make them feel comfortable so that they can receive all that God has for them in the service.

We provide information to our visitors concerning the location of our restrooms, water fountains, nurseries, etc. We also share information about the different areas of ministry that we offer such as the age-appropriate Sunday School classes held simultaneously with our Classic Christian Service at 9:00 a.m. and the J.A.M. Children’s Ministry on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

The Greeter Ministry is in operation before and after each regularly scheduled service, Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. We are also in operation when Livingway hosts special guest speakers or conferences.

The Greeter Ministry is divided into two segments: The Lobby Greeters and the Sanctuary Hosts & Hostesses. The Lobby Greeters position themselves in all of the lobbies so they can greet people as they enter the building. The Sanctuary Hosts & Hostesses move from pew to pew within the Sanctuary welcoming people and seeing to their needs.

As Livingway continues to grow, we need to add to this roster continually. In the Sanctuary Building, we have three lobbies that have to be covered, one being very large with six separate entrances. In the Sanctuary, we want to have enough hosts and hostesses that the entire seating area is covered.

"For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10
