JESUS AND ME (J.A.M.) is Livingway’s Children’s Ministry. Kids JAMmin’ for Jesus is the dancing portion of the ministry. The J.A.M. Children’s Ministry meets each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Livingway Family Life Center. Kids JAMmin’ for Jesus rehearses on the third Wednesday of each month.

These children range from age five (5) to twelve (12). They are a fully active and anointed ministry whose primary goal is to lift up Jesus and praise Him in the dance!

We use this time to teach the children what it means to praise the Lord for what He has done for us and how to worship Him for who He is.  When we dance, we are dancing before the Lord and He delights in our praise.

“Let them praise his name in the dance …” Psalm 149:3

There are a few guidelines, but they are of great importance.  A child must attend J.A.M. Children’s Ministry on a regular basis for at least three months before becoming a part of Kids JAMmin for Jesus’.  Once a child has joined Kids JAMmin for Jesus’, he or she must attend rehearsals on a consistent basis for at least three months as well.

At various time throughout the year, Kids JAMmin’ for Jesus performs in the Livingway Sanctuary.  They are always a big hit during every Christmas pageant and every special event in which they participate!

“Praise him with the timbrel and dance…” Psalm 150:4

It will make your heart glad when you witness your child praising God in the dance!  And the great thing is the promise that God made to us in His Word: 

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
 Proverbs 22:6

Parents, we encourage you to make this wonderful opportunity available to your children on Wednesday evenings.  You will be so very glad that you made such an investment into their young lives when they are older and still dancing before the Lord in praise and worship!
