P.U.S.H.I.N.G. is an acronym outlining this prayer ministry’s purpose:  Parents United by a Scriptural Heritage Interceding for the Next Generation.  And our mission is to Pray Until Something Happens!  PUSH!

Livingway’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry meets each Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Livingway Family Life Center.  Then at 8:00 p.m., the focus of the Prayer Ministry is zeroed in on praying for the next generation … our children and our grandchildren.

For the hour between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Fridays, we target the enemy that comes against our children and we claim that he is ultimately defeated and that Jesus Christ reigns over their lives.

“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

We pray for many things concerning the next generation, some of which are:

· Pray not only for our own children, but the children of others as well.

· Pray for the salvation of our entire households.

· Pray that our children will not be enticed by the world.

· Pray that our children will be overcomers in every area of their lives.

· Cover our children with the Word of God and the blood of Jesus.

· Pray that our children would resist temptation and be strong in the Lord.

· Pray that they will fulfill the will of God in each of their lives.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

God’s Word tells us that He has a plan for every child that comes into the world.  Every boy and every girl is uniquely designed by God for His purpose.  But He has entrusted the care of those children to us, the parents.

It is our responsibility to train them, to teach them, to be an example to them, to nurture them and raise them in God’s way.  We cannot do this effectively without His divine help.  This P.U.S.H.I.N.G. Prayer Ministry will help you seek God and find His direction for your child’s life.  God’s promise to us is that when we seek Him, we will find Him!
