The Security Ministry’s mission is to safeguard the Livingway Church family, visitors and facilities during the course of all Worship Services, events and activities. These men and women stand ready to assist in emergency circumstances in conjunction with Livingway’s Health Care Corps.

Although the Parking Ministry is responsible for assisting people in and out of the parking areas, it is the Security Ministry that patrols the parking areas during the course of the services and events.

“… but safety is of the LORD.” Proverbs 21:31

We believe that protecting the people, property, resources and ministry God has entrusted to our care is a faithful act of stewardship. Anything less is not.

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8

It is our goal to provide all who come to Livingway Church, from the children to the adults, with a safe and secure place to worship. We believe that, in doing this, we honor God because we care for His people.

As our congregation grows, the Security Ministry must increase to provide coverage for every service and event. Once one has completed Class 101: Discovering Livingway Membership, he or she may apply for this ministry with the understanding that Class 201 and Class 301 must be completed within the next four months from the date of acceptance.
