The Sound Ministry of Livingway is an enormous
necessity to every service and event we have.
In our Sanctuary, we have state of the art audio
equipment. Then in all of the surrounding
buildings, Livingway has ten additional
sound systems that must be operated, many times
simultaneously.
The Sound Ministry personnel are not only
responsible for the in-house sound, but also the
recording of each service and special events
both for posterity and for making those products
available to members and visitors.
“And he appointed certain of the Levites to
minister before the ark of the LORD, and to
record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of
Israel:”
1 Chronicles 16:4
In the Old Testament, there were ‘recorders’
whose jobs were to ‘write down’ or ‘record’ the
words that were spoken during the teachings in
the churches. Now, our Sound Ministry fulfills
that role through the medium of electronic
recordings. The results are CD’s that one can
play over and over again and, in doing so, plant
the Word of God deep in their hearts!
If
you have a background in this area or have had
previous training, it is certainly helpful. And
if you have been blessed with an ‘ear’ to hear
voices and instruments and properly balance
them, you would find that skill helpful in
performing well in this ministry.
However, if you have had no formal training, we
can provide the necessary instruction that you
will need to join this ministry. It will
require a heart willing to put forth the time
and effort necessary to learn.
Once you become a member of Livingway (Class
101: Discovering Livingway Membership), you can
become active in the Sound Ministry. Two other
classes are also required once you become a
Sound Technician (if you have not already
completed them). Class 201: Discovering
Spiritual Maturity and Class 301: Discovering My
Ministry.
“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt
his name together.”
Psalm 34:3
The Sound Ministry is such a vital part of
everything that we do. If you possess the
aforementioned skills or have a desire to learn,
please prayerfully consider joining us as we
amplify (magnify) the Lord through the means of
audio technology. |
