We are a very visual people, profoundly affected by what we see.  The Banner Ministry desires to capitalize on that very thing!  How so, you ask?

In an extremely busy world, we have to remind ourselves of the promises of God.  The Word of God teaches us not to set wicked things before our eyes.  So, He requires the opposite of us … that we set good things before our eyes!  If you look at something Godly, you will think God thoughts and act in a Godly manner.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

How uplifting it is to see words like JOY and PEACE and LOVE!  And what an appropriate reminder to us to see words like PRAISE and WORSHIP and THANKSGIVING!  The words we see will affect how we think and how we feel!

“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”
Song of Solomon 2:4

If you have a creative or artistic gift, it came from God.  He wants you to offer that back to Him through ministry.  Using your creative gifts to make banners is a service to God and to His family!  We invite those that are skilled in art, sewing or crafts to join with us in proclaiming God’s Word through banners!

We encourage helpers to join us as well.  You may not be skilled in sewing or crafts, but we need people to iron, cut out letters and pieces of the design, etc.  There is room for you in this ministry!

“Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth.”      Psalm 60:4

Every time we come to the house of the Lord, we celebrate!  We have the opportunity to enrich the service of celebration with a beautiful, creative, visual statement … a banner!
